ABOUT THE ONO MANGO TROPICAL ORCHARD:
Ono Mango is a family owned mango orchard producing 7 varieties bearing most of the year. Primarily late spring in May to late fall in November.
The tropical fruit can and does bear throughout the year depending on the weather.
This Orchard, planted January 2003, has 70 trees and a full production capacity between 6,000 to 12,000 pounds annually.
- The summer varieties consist of Mapulehu, Haden, Manzanillo, Kent, R2E2, Zill Late/Golden Glow.
- The fall variety is Keitt, which is half of the plantation. The individual fruit of this specific variety can grow as much as 4 pounds!
We market our fruit locally thru Adaptations Inc., a local wholesaler who in turn sells to hotels, restaurants and health food stores throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
We also grow “Apple Bananas” commercially. And for the orchard guests we have pineapple, coconut, longan, lychee, citrus fruit and Suriname cherries. The also consists of 2 herb gardens that guests can enjoy.

At Ono Mango Tropical Orchard, you'll be amazed by two stunning custom homes. The 3-floor pole house to rent is a unique experience. Its original design makes it a very comfortable home for vacation in Hawaii. The other 1-story home has one floor with easy ramp access for people with disabilities. Located on the same property, both homes have their own privacy and benefit from an absolutely gorgeous ocean view overlooking Kealekekua Bay.

You won't be just eating tasty mangoes at the , you will also be able to practice Snorkeling, Kayaking, Surfing down the road. The property is just 5 minutes from such activites in Kealekekua Bay, where you will have the chance to observe and swim with a pod of Spinner dolphins.

At the orchard you will meet Tom, owner and producer of Ono Mango. Tom and his wife, Deb, have been living on the Big Island for so many years that they'll be able to tell you all about it.
